Sean Ahrens is the cofounder of Crohnology, a patient-powered research network that allows any patient to contribute to research for their condition.

At the age of 12, Sean was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, an incurable autoimmune condition of the digestive tract. Sean has since made it his life’s micd ssion to cure this disease by connecting the world’s patients to empower them to collectively contribute towards research for the cure.

Sean is a two-time Y-Combinator, Rock Health, and UC Berkeley alum. As a programmer and software designer, he has been a founder of, or early hire at, six different SF tech startups. Sean is the subject of two upcoming documentaries on how technology is revolutionizing medicine. Sean studied Computer Science and Business at UC Berkeley.
